OH! So Dark and Dreary

That's right, I just had to start looking for one of these and I found it. The photo below is my newest challenge and I am so hoping that I can create the same fresh look as the pic above. Keep in mind the one above is not my finished product.....just an inspirational photo.

Many that I saw were in very good condition...too good to be painted over with white paint. I continued my hunt for a tattered and worn piece that was just begging to be treated with tender care and of course one for very little money.

Check back to see my finished treasure soon.

I love your brown and pink blog colors there so elegant yet shabby, good choice. I will check back soon to see more, maybe I can get some ideas, I sure need some.

Lovely. We inherited a full dining room set that has a buffet similar to each photo you posted. When I saw the photo of the finished white one I realized just how cute the whole set could be painted white.

The family would skin me alive if I painted it though.I replaced the dining room set mentioned with my grandparents set and you would have thought I kicked out dear old granny the way my husband's family reacted. It's not like we got rid of it, it's in safe keeping, just not being used.

I can't wait to see your finished product.

Thanks for visiting my blog. I've enjoyed my visit to yours.

It's wonderful you found a piece of furniture that is so close to the one in the photo.

I love you finished rocking chair from the previous post.

Isn't that too funny! I have one of those in my garage and missing the same drawer. LOL I too have been meaning to sand it down and paint it. although the top on mine is ruined so I planned on doing a broken china mosaic on it. But other than that, mine is identical. LOL

Can't wait to see the finished product! Thanks for stopping by my nap time post. I have had many requests for the southern belle pillow case. I wish I had more to share, but she is my one and only piece from many years ago. Maybe one day I will be able to let her go, but for now she likes it here in sunny California!

That is a fantastic idea! I live in a town that has wonderful old furniture that is crying out for some white paint, lol! Thanks for the idea! Do you have a picture of the top of the table in the previous post? I am sort of visually impaired and cannot see the one there. Thanks, Gina
